Welcome to the Official Website of the Higher Education Compliance & Quality Network

The Higher Education Compliance & Quality Network (HECQN) is a collaborative network for professionals engaged in compliance and regulatory management and in quality assurance in higher education.   

A voluntary Steering Group drawn from universities, private providers and TAFE organisations has been convened to develop this new national collaborative initiative commencing in 2012.  

The direction and focus of the HECQN and its activities will be driven by the sector for the sector, adopting a proactive national approach to addressing regulatory and enterprise risk issues for higher education institutions through sharing knowledge and leading practices.  The National Network plans to form strong relationships with existing regional and state-based groups in higher education with similar interests and with other professional compliance managers and special interest groups both in Australia and internationally.  

The Higher Ed Services Board and Management recognise the importance of compliance and quality assurance in higher education and will fund development of the Higher Education Compliance & Quality Network over the next three years.

All higher education providers are welcome to access the resources of the HECQN contained on this website and participate in its forums and professional events.
