Callista Planning & Advisory Group (CPAG)

CPAG is a collaboration of eleven institutions working together with Callista to ensure delivery of the best student management system in Australia. CPAG members work with each other and Callista to shape future directions in student system evolution and to keep the Callista product at the cutting edge of technology and service delivery to students. There is no other student system more responsive to the needs of its clients.

At the heart of CPAG's success is the strength of the collaboration between the participating institutions and with Callista. CPAG members enjoy the benefits of shaping a student system that meets the needs of their institutions. They also enjoy the benefits of broader collaboration - knowledge sharing; establishment of best practice; business process comparison and benchmarking; shared customisations and, importantly, economies of scale.

Reporting to the Callista Senior Executive Group, CPAG functions as the body responsible for planning the strategic development of the Callista SMS over the medium to longer term. The group is responsible for ensuring its strategic objectives are met and for setting the development directions of the product. CPAG works with Callista to ensure delivery of two releases per year, on time and on budget.

CPAG members meet at least four times a year to:

  1. Provide advice and recommendations to CSEG on functional and technical matters concerning the Callista Student Management System.

  2. Facilitate the pipeline and annual planning processes as requested by CSEG by recommending strategic themes and projects to be completed within the planning timeframes.

  3. Maintain a working relationship between the Group and Callista that facilitates delivery of a product that meets the business requirements of the universities.

  4. Facilitate active co-operation among Callista licensees and serves as a vehicle through which student system users share knowledge and experiences.
