Human Resource Information Systems Group
The HES HRIS Group was formed 11 years ago and is an extremely proactive and collaborative group of representatives from 23 universities whose principal focus is promoting effective business improvement in HR management through the development of efficient business models and associated technology developments.
The Group has an elected Executive Committee, which provides advice on collaborative activities and best practice initiatives beneficial to participating universities. The HRIS Group's strategic objectives over the next three years are to achieve significant improvements for HR processes including emerging legislative requirements.
The Group shares a significant knowledge base on HR management practices and universities frequently share information on local developments and present seminars to ensure best practice HR solutions.
HES co-ordinates the development of collaborative initiatives such as HRISEIM on behalf of the Group and is the corporate entity for contracting with the HR management system service provider, Talent2.
The HRIS Group leads developments in business process and functional developments which benefit all universities using Alesco. The Group address a myriad of topical business and information management issues relating to Human Resources management.
The HRIS Group, whose membership comprises a broad range of universities, including at least one member university from each of the major groupings, ie Group of 8, Innovative Research, Regional. ATN, and New Generation
