Directions in Research Systems and Repositories
- A forum for Research Information Managers
Brisbane, 21st May 2008
Why a Research Information Managers Forum?
The ability to bounce an idea off a colleague, discuss an issue or work through a solution to a complicated problem is a valuable resource for the research administrator. The experience can often be greatly enhanced by talking to someone outside your current institution. To help foster such communication, the Collaborative Research Administrators Group (CRAG) -made up of UNE, UWS, ECU, Newcastle and Deakin universities - is convening a "Research Information Managers Forum". The forum will be of interest to staff involved in the co-ordination of information, data and systems used in research administration. CRAG members have built strong relationships with institutional repository groups and representatives from ARROW will also be present.
The purpose of the forum is to discuss current topics of interest to research information managers and look at ways of building a user community with appropriate tools to continue these discussions.
Date and Venue: This Forum was held on Wednesday 21st May at Customs House (399 Queen St), Brisbane
