Grant Governance Group

As part of the Project Management Services provided, HES supported a Grant Governance Group of senior representatives from the lead university, HES and participating universities with the intention that this body would provide an advocacy role for the national programme and provide support to HES concerning the governance of the Projects.

The Grant Governance Group will continue beyond the Programme to provide senior support for the AUPN and governance to ensure the spending of any remaining monies from the Benchamrking Programme are aligned with the conditions of the original grant.

In November 2008, the Grant Governance Group hosted a Senior Executive Forum. An invitation was sent to the Vice-Chancellors of each participating university to nominate two senior executives to attend a forum in Melbourne. There were 29 attendees from 20 universities. The Forum provided an overview of the purpose, development and progress of the Programme to date followed by a summary of what has been achieved and a presentation from The University of Newcastle on how they had benefited directly from the Programme.
