Australian Universities Procurement Consortium Executive Committee meets with representatives from A

The Executive Committee wishes to encourage a more inclusive approach and is inviting a broad cross section of views on priority collaborative and strategic procurement issues on which the AUPC Executive can build during 2006 and beyond.

The AUPC Executive Committee welcomes the opportunity to discuss the future directions of the AUPC with all Australian university procurement and finance managers. Throughout 2006, the AUPC Executive Committee will hold its meetings in various cities inviting all universities to participate in shaping the long-term directions of the AUPC.

In February 2006, the Committee held an open meeting with Victorian and Tasmanian representatives. In May 2006, the Committee met with representatives from South Australia and Western Australia.

The Committee wishes to encourage a more inclusive approach and is inviting a broad cross section of views on priority collaborative and strategic procurement issues on which the AUPC Executive can build during 2006 and beyond.

The Committee is pleased by the positive feedback that has been received from university representatives on the activities of the AUPC initiative. The Committee hopes to focus on communication strategies, training and networking which have been highlighted as areas of interest. The Committee has recently established several Specialist Advisory Groups to provide advice relating to these key areas.

The AUPC Executive is a voluntary committee consisting of members from The University of Queensland, University of Newcastle, Edith Cowan University, The University of Adelaide, La Trobe University, University of New England, The University of Sydney, Queensland University of Technology and Higher Ed Systems.
