Change in Higher Education is inevitable - there are multiple external factors putting pressure on existing business models, not just in Australia but internationally as well.  In addition to ongoing government funding concerns, more recent issues such as the growing adult population, the development (and take up) of micro-credentials, and the competition from non-traditional education providers like tech companies is increasingly adding pressure to an already complex higher education sector.

Regardless of whether you’re just starting to think about adding a cost model to your institution’s strategic decision-making toolset, or you already have a model in place, this conference is a prime opportunity to learn more.  The two days will cover a range of topics including:

  • how universities are currently using their cost models to support operational management as well as predictive models to support longer term strategic planning and budgeting;
  • the process for rapidly populating the Education Department’s mandatory “Transparency in Higher Education Expenditure” submission, and the resulting Field of Education benchmarking outputs;
  • making your data talk - reporting and analysis using Microsoft PowerBI; and
  • the updated 2019 ACE interface and new software features.

Non-Pilbara Group clients will have the opportunity to see first-hand what’s been done at other institutions, and the lessons learned along the way, while our current clients will have numerous opportunities to ask questions (both to us and your costing peers!) and discuss new ideas relating to model features, functionality and reports that you’d like to see added.
