CONCURRENT WORKSHOPS

Universities in Regional Development

Provocation: If we are the anchors, what are we securing and for whom?

Theme: Universities as catalysts for regional development

Context: In regions, universities are pivotal actors that have an impact that extends beyond their own economic footprint. Universities provide critical thought leadership that supports regional governance and strategy setting, our research and innovation drives on-ground solutions whilst supporting industry formation and development, and our education equips graduates with capabilities and experiences that nurtures a level of resilience that allows them to thrive and make change in a variety of contexts.

Process: A series of 10-minute provocations on the theme that respond to a particular problem or case. The provocations will be followed by a facilitated dialogue.
