HES launches online academic forums

HES has long been known for its ability to bring the sector together through conferences, workshops, discussion groups and other events. However, COVID-19 has forced all of us to re-imagine how the higher education sector is going to collaborate in the future. The answer, of course, is to go online but it isn’t merely a matter of shifting everything to Zoom, Teams or Meet. The requirements are different, and HES Forums is our response to the demands of the brave new world in which we all have to work.

The forums operate as communities of practice and professional networks that seek to improve practices and outcomes across the higher education sector. They offer leadership and professional development opportunities for their participants, publishing and speaking opportunities and a variety of online webinars, discussion groups, resources and networking.

Currently, there are two forums in operation: Academic Quality and People & Culture. Visit the Forums section of our website for more information.
